6 volt or 12 volt???

Did 56' fords come with a 12 volt or a 6 volt system??? Mine has a 12 and i was told that it is the stock system???

56 is 12 volt, 55 and earlier 6 volt Dennis

yea, what he said.
Although I read somewhere that the earliest of 56 models had 6v...
Sort of how some had small windows? I don't know.. I'm probably wrong, besides.. I have a 55
