Hello!! Please Could you help me with these connectors. What is their function, they are currently unused
2005 Ford E350 XL 6.0 Ext Right tail light Right tail light This connector B pilar
The connector at the right tail light is C431 having to do with power door locks. In our XLT the other end goes not the right cargo door to the lock switch.
The connector at the (left?) B-pillar is C328 with qualifiers of “modified vehicle” and “with camping kit”. I can’t find a description of what it serves but the harness it’s attached to has braches to the engine bay, front passenger door and under the left tail light.
Other than a few for system testing
All unused connectors in a Ford, are for accessories that the vehicle does not have
Sometimes you can plug and play the optional accessories in

Thanks for your help manicmechanic007 jwa I already have the service manuals for the Ford E350 but the information does not appear, nor did I find anything on Google or in this forum, which is why I only consulted here after finishing all my search possibilities!
thank you very much again
If none of the connector lists identify how it is used then you will have to go through the wiring diagrams and find it. This is where a digital document is superior to the paper manual.
Yup. I’m not aware of a circuit index in the printed EWTM. 57 is ground, easy. 49 is a low number but you have to look through 20+ pages of power distribution. I don’t know a starting point for the other two. The heavy gauge of those wires tells me they’re not for common features you’d find in that section of the van. More likely a bare van gets shipped to a coach builder that uses the connector in a stock bodied Class B RV or NSA surveillance van.
Is there a motive behind the inquiry? Are you concerned that something’s missing?

The connector might be for an uninstalled rear heater/A/C unit according to the listed wire colors. Try following the heater blower circuits to check if this is correct. Start with the front dash mounted controls then back to the heater unit mounted in the left rear of the vehicle when factory equipped. If rear heat was never installed the C328 inside the lower left B-Pillar would be empty but power would be available with key on.
