Curious how these jump boxes maintain their charge over time. Say it's charged up 100% today... will it work a year later?
Mine is about 2 years old, I charged it up when I first got it.
It has started the lawnmower several times,
my daughter's car once.
and something else.
it still shows nearly a full charge on it.
you do NOT want to recharge Lithium batteries until they are down to 10-20%. they hold up really well, simply because there is No Drain on them when idle.
I found that out the hard way with my Hedge Trimmer, it is an 80V unit...
I was recharging it after each job, and the battery died before the first season ended.... the cost of the battery is more than I paid for the trimmer, so it sits in the garage, unused now for 3 years.
Mine stays in the truck at all times, no matter the temp. I haven’t had issues with it discharging after sitting unused for 2 or 3 months. However, if I am leaving the truck at an airport for a week or two, or going on a long road trip I will charge it no matter how full it says it is.
