So twice in the past week in the middle of the night my truck alarm has went off due to a door being opened. The truck is locked and in my garage so no door is actually being opened. Any ideas? I'm familiar with the motion sensors and flying things but this is saying a door was opened. Batteries are 3 years old, have always leaked which is typical for Motorcraft batteries. Wondering if it isn't voltage gremlins?
Lots of threads on this and hood ajar causing it as well. Most of the times it's a bad switch but sometimes all you need to do is just open the doors and close them again.
Mine was my hood switch would intermittently set off the alarm. Then again the message that would be sent to my Ford App stated hood ajar even though it was closed tight. Replaced the latch which included the sensor it never happened again.
Does yours state a specific door? If not try looking at your app or scan the PCM which may provide more detail?
My batteries have been leaking for a few years or more but they seem to hold a charge. You could try putting a charger on at night which in theory would keep the voltage up. If no more alarms you know it’s a battery problem.
