Gluing felt window tracks....
How much adhesive is needed to hold the tracks in place?
I am not using any clips. They seem to stick pretty snug into the door, just a few dabs? Or should I really coat the metal tracks?

The original MidFifty kits had small hardwood blocks that were used in place of the OEM metal tabs. The procedure was to glue the blocks in place and then use a small flathead screw to hole the felt to the block. Once installed, the screw head pulls into the felt and does not interfere with the window glass.

I glued mine in but I didn't use much. I know it's not much help but gluing was much easier than trying to seat those little clips. I'm pretty sure I used black weather strip adhesive (aka in yellow known as monkey snot).
