Hey folks. I have a 2006 F250 4x4 CCSB with a payload of just under 3000lbs and wondering what would everyone recommend my max dry weight for a unit be? Lighter is better I get that, but I'm thinking max dry weight shouldn't be more than 2000lbs giving me just shy of 1000lbs for gear/water/propane etc which will be more than enough considering I'll just be solo camping. My truck has an 8'' lift so I'll either have to lower down to 4'' or rig up longer/sturdier corner jacks on whatever unit I purchase, but shouldn't be a big deal as I was a welder/fabricator in another life lol. Overload leafs also have 2'' rubber bump stops and with 1600lbs in the bed the front of the truck only goes up 1/2'' so they work very well.
Here the truck, any and all advice welcome, thanks
Here's the truck with 1600lbs of LVP plank in the bed slid close to the tailgate:
Your numbers sound abut right. My truck camper weighs about 1000 pounds more than the dry weight once I have it loaded. 2019 F350 Lariat DRW with Travel Lite camper

Something to compare to , this is a 04 Lance 845 2522 dry weight , F350 and camper loaded and ready to go 11,100# , added bump stops and rear sway bar.

That's a sweet setup and the complete lack of rust on the truck is jaw dropping! Dang thing looks fresh out of the factory lol. So long bed and F350.......payload around 4000lbs yeah? And what bump stops did you go with? Also my truck has a rear sway bar already so that's a plus. Thanks for posting up
