My 2024 F250 has a lot of plastic on the outside. Plastic bumper cap, plastic steps, etc. I’m looking for a more permanent protectant solution than using spray on protectant like Armor All, 303, etc. I am sure that black plastic will turn to gray after one summer here in Texas. I have used 303 a lot and like the product but it didn’t work at all on the plastic on my last truck.
Mine have survived 2 1/2 Texas summers, still black, and no protectants, just washed every so often.
Any of the spray-on protectants will require periodic reapplication.
Paint would be the most permanent coating, but doesn't hold up to being stepped on and rubbed.

Thats good to know. My previous truck was a Ram (I hated that truck) and it had plastic on the rear bumper like my F250 does and that plastic on the Ram faded fast.
I did find a product called Solution Finish Over the Top Plastic Sealer that I’m going to try. I should have it on by early next week so we’ll see how it lasts.

Anyone tried ceramic wax on the plastic parts?
Look at something like Gyeon Trim. Most of the other quality ceramic coating suppliers will have a similar trim protectant. Gyeon is the one I have used specifically and find it to be easy to work with and extemely long lasting. Follow the instructions.

My 2015 RAM 2500 went through 6 Texas summers, over 614K miles and the plastic on it was still in great shape when I sold it.
And, I would say my RAM was at least on par with my current F250, save for the bigger power of the PSD and smoothness of the 10 speed.

Man you had a good one! My 2016 was just cheap to me. When I would go through a car wash and the blower to dry off the truck would pass by my roof would pop. When I drove down the highway the hood would flex due to the wind. Not to mention it was by far the roughest truck I’ve ever been in. I had the 6.4 gas and it didn’t have near the pulling power I expected. It wasn’t a good truck for me.
I haven't found the need to coat my new truck's plastics yet, but on all 4 of my other vehicles, I've had great luck with Cerakote Trim Coat. I coated all of them about 2 years ago (some were severely weathered) and the plastics still look like new.
Three southern Georgia summers, parked outside, and my plastic trim is in good shape. All I ever do is the car wash tunnel and some spray-on-wipe-off wax.
I have used Adam's products for years and have always had great results with them. This is a newer product and works excellent. The bed rails, rear bumper, and running boards were starting to show their age on my 2003 F250. This made them look new again and it still looks the same a couple months later.
