Electrical issues.

I have a 94 F-250, recently the battery went dead. When I replaced it and tried to start the truck all of the blinkers blink on and off, the fuel pump fires up, but the truck will not start. I've checked all the wires, starter, replaced solenoid,etc. A mechanic told me it might be the anti theft system, and to lock and unlock the doors with the fob...... The damn fob does'nt work. What the heck do I do? Any feedback will be beyond appreciated. I don't have much hair left to rip out.

check for codes
Does it crank or does it not crank? Turn the key on and short the starter relay on the fender.

Use an insulated screwdriver or similar

My ‘04 350 did that to me. different animal, but maybe the same issue. I got the key fob working, and locked and unlocked the doors with it, and everything worked again.

Sounds like an aftermarket anti theft device. If you're handy, you can find the alarm box under the dash and disable/remove it. Or get a new battery for the key fob and cycle the door locks.
