stranded

I have a 94 extended cab F150 with a 302. I noticed a couple of times over the last few weeks that when I went to start it, there was just a click and nothing would happen. I would re-try and it would start right up. A couple of times there was a hesitation between when I turned the key and when it started. Then the other day it would not start at all. The battery is only a couple of months old but I got a guy to hook me up with some cables. It did the same thing the first few times I tried to start it but finally started. It hasn't done it since and it has been a week. Could it me the starter or something electrical? I'm poor at trouble shooting stuff like this so any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Not sure what you mean by that. Are you saying that you can still jump start it when it won't start on its own?

Sounds like a starter solenoid going bad, but you might start with making sure all your battery connections are clean and tight.

Kinnja: when I was jumping it, it still would not start initially. It basically did the same thing it does with no cables attached which makes me believe it's not the battery. Someone else mentioned the starter solinoid. I may replace that to be sure. Thanks for the response fellas.
