I Have a 1993 f150 and in the past the lock cylinder was jammed and I couldn't get the key out and had a push Button start installed and then when the lock cylinder was put back in it wouldn't turn all the way to run and the turn signals now didn't work... thought to be electrical everything checked out good apart from that... I thenreinstalled the lock cylinder and wallah the turn signals were back and the key could turn to run... months later I decided to spray some grease on the actuator and was able to take the key out and have everything functioning well ...keep in mind turn signals worked all these months.... now that I got the key spinning to run and able to pull it out I figured, let me uninstall the push button start.. I took the lock cylinder out to take the plastic covers off from the steering column and uninstalled it. now started the truck and boom back to no turn signals.... swapped in a new multifunction turn signal switch to see if it could be that... but no.. only thing I could think is that it has to do with the lock cylinder not being in the right position???? but now it works properly ( I can turn it off and start the truck use the accessories and now even take the key out)
I can't find anything online about key position relating to this? I've done research on the actuator but it all appears to be related to the key and not being able to start the truck but no-one says anything about turn signals not working. In this past when this happened I just kept taking the lock cylinder out and reinstalling it until it was able to go into the run position and didn't get stuck. but now that I greased it , almost every time I install it its able to start the truck and come out no problem without any sign of the signals working... hazards do work, and sometimes if I feather the turn signal switch and hold the brake pedal I will get a solid light in one of the turn signals but it won't flash... any experience with anything like this or any recommendations would be very helpful... lol I have used this website so much in the past year and finally made an account just to ask this question because I can't wrap my head around this.

what kind of grease did you spray into the lock cylinder?
Does everything else electrical work except for the turn signals? It sounds like you have the ignition lock cylinder, actuator and ignition switch out of time. I know there is a thread in the “86-96 tech info” section detailing how to replace the actuator but that is for ‘87-91 trucks. The ‘92-96/7 system is different. If you search for it I’m sure there are threads describing how to replace the actuator and time the parts.
weird part is I changed the ignition switch due to other reasons and i manually started the truck with the ignition switch and the turn signals still wouldn't work.. yes everything else now works electrically.. flawlessly.. But its almost like the position of the lock cylinder itself just won't engage the turn signal switch or something? Even Though key goes to run perfectly and all the way back to off and im able to take the key out without a problem
