Where do you guys recommend jacking and then putting stands on these vehicles? If my signature doesn't show, I'm specifically talking about a 1993 F250, 2wd.
I go out of my way never to put a jack stand on a moving suspension piece. The only exception would be the solid differential. If the suspension is the only place to put a jack stand, I would have a plan B in case it slips off. Throw the entire tire/wheel in a place there that will be the first contact when it drops. Don't use cinder blocks.
You are crazy!
No man in good standing in the No Ma’am club would ever admit that they read the directions or looked in the owners manual.
My god, if this got out to woman, they might think they don’t need us because they could work on their own trucks. 🤣🤣🤣
Call me crazy but I would use the places as shown in your owner’s manual.
The problem, same as unibody cars, is being able to jack and then fit a stand some place and take the jack away. The stuff in the manual is always about changing a tire while using a jack that won't leak down.

So what’s the problem? Jack it up by the radius arm, radius arm bracket or frame. Place the stand under the I beam.
I jack them up differently depending on what I am doing to the truck
Usually jack from the radius rod mount or the big through bolt in the I beam axle
I support them with a jackstand on the frame behind the radius rod mount
Or the I beam axle near the radius rod thru bolt

I get a kick out of some of the Mustang boys over on their sites complaining about jacking theirs up by the pinch welds
They do bend over after years and years
Thing is, those is the factory lift points for a hoist, and your factory spere tire jack
My 69 gets jacked by a plate under the inner fender in the front
It's all bent up too after 54 years, no big deal
It shouldn’t be that delicate since it is locating part of the front axle. That was in listed in my ‘89 manual as a jacking point for a F-150
Maybe Ford does not show it as a lifting point for your ‘96? I don’t know.
Hmm.. I guess it can be used. Well, I wont be doing it on mine because they are quite rusty. Is it rusty enough to be weak? no idea but id rather not find out lol
