351 5 speed question
Ok I just got this 95 Bronco. It is a 351. The previous owner swapped it to a 5 speed manual using an f150 5.0, 5 speed donor truck. He said he parked them next to each other and just went at it. It's the M50DR2 trans. He did shorten the rear drivehaft 2". I still have to lengthen the front driveshaft. Because it was electronically 4x4/low range controlled I cannot get it in low range. I remember on a past 96 Bronco I had to put it in neutral to select low range. Now the transfer case doesn't get the signal that it's in neutral to go into low I'm assuming? Not sure if I'm right thinking this or what I can do. I'd love to swap to a manual transfer case but not even sure what it's called. I'd really like to know if I can get it into low range currently.

You are correct concerning the electronic shift 4WD module, it requires a Low/Ground signal to enable 4WD Low range. I do not believe electronic shift 4WD was available with a manual transmission. My best suggestion is mount a momentary button near the 4WD/Low button on the dash. Wire a Low/Ground signal input to the control module. Push and hold the momentary button, then push the 4WD Low on the dash. Once the transfer case is in Low, let up on the momentary button. I am sure others will have other options to suggest.

I agree Electronic Shift On the Fly, ESOF was for automatics only
I would put a manual shift transfer case in it
Living in a snowy state, I have 3 shift motors in my inventory now, and plan on selling 5 this winter
Those motors and the switch plates fail too often for me to want to own one real bad
I do currently own one
I say a little prayer every time I go to put it in 4x4, maybe it will work
And 4 low... You may not get it out of 4 low if the case has 200k on it (shift fork worn)
Maybe I just see the problems
