I'm having some transmission woes with my 2002 F250 w/ 5.4L Triton automatic transmission.
The issue I'm having is as follows: i sprung a leak between the rear of the engine and the bellhousing, got some stop leak for it and trans fluid to fill it back up (as per recommended by a local shop). Which seemed to do the trick, but quickly turned into whenever my transmission gets warmed up after driving a couple of miles, there's no more go. I can hit the gas and the engine will rev up, but it's like I'm in neutral. When putting it back into park, there's a whine that comes from the transmission.
Has anybody had this happen? I'm guessing I'm SOL and will end up needing to either have the tranny rebuilt or buy a replacement one, but any guidance or advice is greatly welcomed. I do most of my own maintenance but this is a little out of my wheelhouse and capabilities
