There are a couple of really good Youtube videos by Autorestomod F100, episodes 376 and 381 that have tips and tricks for installing a firewall, and how to install the steering column into the new firewall pad.

I remember it being a PITA when I put mine in. I think I remember pulling everything back out of the truck, including the wiring harness. I will have to check out the videos out before I mess with one again.
