Rock rail step
Considering one of these lil rigs, because the price isn't that bad for a Black Diamond Sasquatch (local dealer has 2 of them), and it's small, so no passengers when my kid starts driving in a year.
Biggest drawback: to get the hoop step, it appears it removes the standard rock rails that are advertised as able to hold 1.5 times the weight of the vehicle, and replaces them with ones that can't support the weight of the vehicle (which is kinda the point of rock rails).
Is there a step available (does not have to be from Ford, just quality) for the standard rock rails? Or would I have to replace them altogether? We don't rock crawl so it's not really an issue, but if there's something cheaper than the $468 they want for the removable hoop steps that bolts right on, I'll go that route. If there isn't, like I said it's not a big issue...I just want to know before I go ahead and pull the trigger.
