I agree... My door tag indicates a 2.73:1 ratio, but I changed them out to 3.27:1 years ago (I got them as a low-mileage take-off from a mustang). I wish I'd gone to 3.73:1...maybe some day.
The easiest way to be sure is to put the rear end on jack stands, transmission in neutral (with the front wheels chocked), turn the driveshaft by hand and count how many times you have the turn the driveshaft before the tire turns one full turn. For Example: If you have to turn the driveshaft 3.5 times for the wheel to make one revolution, then that's a 3.55:1 ratio.
