66 Paint Code

Can Anyone tell me what the Ford Color is For Paint code 5

My tag says 5M (for 2tone) I know the M is wimbleton white but not the name for the 5. Ihave searched online but nothing shows the
5paint code. I am the 2nd owner and am told by the original elderly lady it was a special Mustang Only Color.

There is no paint code 5 in the Canadian shop manual. But maybe you knew that. Can you see original colour anywhere?

there was a paint code 5 for the 66 musatang called signal flare red check at autocolorlibrary.com I hope this helps

Your Lady friend may be correct; there is no paint code of 5 listed for '61 - '66 in the dealer parts books for trucks.

Paint Color

Thanks all!! The truck actually still has its original paint which is still bright but getting thin. It looks like the 1 code Orange like on my 70 Cyclone Spoiler which is called Competition Orange and Ford Used Calypso Coral in 70. I have seen this color on the 66 mustang's but did not know what it was called. I have heard of Poppy red & Rangoon Red but did not know what the differences were/are. It very well could be the signal flare red someone mentioned. Is there a forum to list my 66 SB Custom Cab for sale?
