Ready to start reassembly on the 67 F-250 4x4. I went to order bushings and stuff from LMC and my pedals do not match what is shown for 67-72. Truck was made in October of 66, so early.
There are metal bushings that do not appear available and a brake bumper and clutch spring that do not appear on LMCs drawing.
1966 pedals totally different.
So, the question. Does anyone know where I could find these parts? Or just find some pedals from a 68 or later??
They do show a completely different brake/clutch pedal assembly for 67 only but the pics didnt show the actual pedals. Did you take the pedal assembly apart? When I did on my 72 f250, I put original style plastic bushings back in. When you say pedals, are you referring to the rubber pads for the pedals? There is a different style of bumper on this site, https://www.chuckstrucksllc.com/. You have scroll down to page 15. It shows brake/clutch assembly parts. I got quite a few parts from him for my 72 f250.
I figured it out...I see the 67 bushings on LMC and forgot to order them. Ugghh. The 4 plastic bushings are the same 67-72 but the 67 has these two metal ones.
Also, the 67 has a clutch return spring, and the 68-72 have a brake return spring, which is not on the 67.
Finally the 67 has a brake bumper and the 68-72 do not. These 2 metal bushings only 67 has, it seems... Inside look at the 2 67 bushings With the 67-72 plastic bushing installed.
You should look into the Bearing Conversion for that brake set up. Mustang Steve (mustangsteve.com) has the kits on his website. I did look into this for mine, but was lucky that the aluminum bearing supports were not work like yours are.
Thanks for that Paul! I had forgot all about Mustang Steve's kit.
As I look at LMC closer, I DID get the proper plastic bushings from LMC, and it appears they do not sell the pot metal bushing, so Mustang Steve kit on te way!
Ready to enjoy a cbrown pedal overhaul and glad you’re out of paint jail. I replaced the plastic bushings a few years ago, the pedals don’t have a solid enough feel with the hydraulic clutch. Your hydraulic clutch will benefit from the bearings based kit.

Hey Sam!
Yeah, when I saw that wallowed out pot metal bushing on the clutch side, I followed Pauls thought and got that bearing kit on order.
Looking forward to making some progress now that the floor is finished!
