2016 wheel speed sensor resistance

I have one trouble code U0415 code. There are no other codes so I don't know what is causing the problem. What should the resistance values be for the wheel sensors? I disconnected each sensor to measure the resistance, The front sensors read 490Kohms and 480Kohms. The rear left read 7,800Kohms while the right read 4,800Kohms. I am surprised to see the values so high and that the rear values differ.

Your specific code does not ID a specific Sensor. **
U 0415 says Invalid data received >between< Modules over the central area bus. Can Bus.
Address any other Codes first as a possible cause, then go for related hardware and Harness issue and/or plug-up.
Sensor codes are usually C codes not U codes.
Your code is a U code. **
The Resistance between sides is not very critical even if they are not close in value. It's the signal they send that is of value.
I don't have the R value for your vehicle.
Good luck.

Thanks for the advice, Bluegrass. I'll try to inspect the harness. I am not sure where to start. I need to find a wiring diagram.

+1

The signal is probably a pulsed signal relative to the wheel speed, and not an analog value.

Did you have any front end or brake work done recently? Drive though any deep water? The sensor/ harness could have been damaged. And sometimes electronic stuff just breaks.

Another tid-bit.
This part of the system can't diagnose itself standing still with no signal generated by wheel >not in motion.
If the signal is present and not intermittent, when in motion, that branch is good. Harness and Sensor has to be good. Usually requires at least 5 mph moving speed.
Therefore, the specific R value has little importance.
Good luck.

I think I found the problem; bad front right hub/sensor. My original code reader only found U0415 but FORScan also found C0034:38. I recorded the 4 sensors while rolling down the street and saw much noise in the front right. I removed the caliper and retracted the locking hub with vacuum and could tell the bearing is failing. I ordered two front hubs.
The truck has aggressive tires which makes so much noise I couldn't hear the bearing failure.
I'll post back after installation of the new hubs.
Thanks

I need to replace my bearings too. The left front wheel bearing makes noise anytime the steering wheel is moved off center.

Could also be the CV joint?

Perhaps, but the boots are in good shape and there is no issues with 4x4.

This truck has had 35” tires on it for 8 years. The only issue I had under warranty was to have the vacuum check valve replaced when the left IWE was grinding. Probably happened a dozen tomes before I finally took it in. That was at around 52k miles. It has 69k miles now. So I suspect the bearings are dying prematurely from heat and debris due to the grinding gears.

I installed the new hubs (with sensors), cleared the codes, and all is good. Replacing the hub is very easy
.
Great video except: to remove the dust cover just grab it will pliers and wiggle it out. Use thread locker on the axle nut, brake bracket bolts, and slide pin bolts.
I really like the bolts that Ford uses; the threads stop short of the end, so the threads are not exposed.
