Exhaust brake switch

Does the exhaust brake stay on after an ignition cycle?
It had to be turned on again on my 2017 after turning off the ignition.
I don’t remember it staying on when I first got my truck, but I did some Forscan changes recently, and now I noticed it stays on until I physically press the button and turn it off.

It stays on until the truck goes into deep sleep.
If it is on and you stop for a short period, like taking a break on the road, fueling up, meals, stuff like that, it will still be on when you start again.

I have found differently than ltnbdrvr. My exhaust brake will turn itself off if ignition is off for more than hour however tow/haul will remain on until deep sleep mode is entered. Meaning truck can sit on a long weekend and on the return trip home tow/haul is still on and got to turn on exhaust brake. If truck sits a week both will need to be re selected. 21 psd 350 DRW. Technology is glitchy.
