I searched for an answer and could not find anything can someone help? I need to get a CB antenna cord from engine to cab is there a capped hole so I don't have to drill? And if able please include pick or a map this is my first Ford in 30 yrs. ( 2024 F250 XLT Tremor gasser ) thanks
There is a large grommet that passes the main wiring harness through the firewall on the driver's side. There is typically a little closed tube/extension of that grommet that you can cut the cap off of and pass a wire through, though I've had occasional issues getting wires through those at times. Otherwise these firewalls are sealed up pretty well in any areas that are feasible to access. When passing the power wire for my amplifier through, I found it easier to drill through the firewall adjacent to the main harness grommet and pass the wire through with my own appropriately sized grommet sealing it up.
my coaixal goes under the drivers side floorboard and along the inside frame up to my headache rack to the antenna.
The wire for the CB is passed through as suggested and I ran it along the cowling to the upfitter switch. That way I dont leave it on to drain the battery.
I put my CB mounted to the top of the center stack tray. once you pull the top off of the center stack there is a ton of room there to fish the wiring down the dash.
I fed mine through the drivers side grommet. Use pointy tool with a pull wire attached and some grease then pull the antenna wire, also with some grease. Good place to run a dedicated 12v wire through too and connect it to a fuse block for other things you want a constant 12v to.
