Backup Camera Alignment
Is there any method to adjust the lines that display on the rear camera in the tailgate? As you can see in the image below, the camera is physically askew towards one side which makes the lines not align with reality. Like I said, this doesn't really impact me as I tend to still use my mirrors for everything except for final close checks that would otherwise require me to exit the vehicle. I've inspected the camera in the tailgate, and while it's not loose, it does have some flex to it such that it can move with minimal pressure applied. It returns to the same location, so I'm assuming it's mounted on a board which is screwed into only one side of the opening rather than both sides. I've not opened the tailgate up, as it's honestly not big enough of an issue to warrant that level of effort. I'm assuming the lines are simply centered on the camera's image rather than oriented to the truck in any manner. You can also see the angle which the camera is off by comparing the back bumper to the ends of the distance markers on each side. The ends of the bumper also give this away, as you can see one end completely and only partially see the other.
That all being said, I do believe this impacts the Pro Trailer Hitch Assist feature. I've had the truck for just over a year now (2023 Lariat Ultimate) and finally decided to give this feature a try, just to see how it performed. Trailer was in the wide open, nice flat ground, and the truck consistently missed centering hitch to ball by 6 inches on 5 different attempts. This 6" distance roughly lined up to what the centerline shows on the rear camera vs reality (black dashed line vs orange line), so I'm assuming the system aligns from where it thinks the centerline is rather than actual location of the ball.
Additional side note - has anyone ever figured out how to get rid of the stupid "Full view not available" message that covers the often times most useful part of the image of the rear camera (to check on payload in trailer)? I understand having it there for say 3-5 seconds after you first bring the camera up, but having it remain there indefinitely is something for which someone should be taken out behind the shed. I'm assuming it's there to help Ford meet some sort of safety regulation.

Based on the photo I would be looking at slightly adjusting the camera as it mounts in the tailgate.
Getting to it is not fun especially of you have the drop step, but can be done.
Also you can get rid of the “black box” warning with ForScan
