(Reposted from Stangnet. I know its a mustang, but you guys seem to know a lot more about these 2.3s.)
Hey everyone,
I have a 1991 mustang with a 2.3 dual plug engine. I am getting code 222 and 998 with hard starting some times and no tach. Runs flawless when its running, might be gutless, but ive never driven one before. I have swapped the ICM, no change, verified ground and power to the ICM. Coils are fine. Should I test the crank sensor? Will it still run with a bad crank sensor? I am lost without a distributor.
