I have not seen the black vinyl insert for sale (by itself) thru OEM or repop vendors. I think Ford used some factory magic to get that black piece in there. And even if you can get a stand along piece of that black insert, you are going to need to remove the trim piece to get it in there. And to replace the front park light trim "spear". You for sure have to have the trim off for that. What about getting a complete different one with the trim and the spear (end tip)? I have a few extras setting in the parts shed or on a parts truck on a spare fender. PM me if interested.

I initially was just going to replace it but for some reason none of the online retailers are selling the right side which is what I need. But that all makes sense for me to replace it completely.
Are you maybe referring to the black rubber like strip in the trim molding along the center of the dent?
If so, most of it's length is held in via lips along the edges, but at the ends there are screws from the back.
Mine once shrunk enough that the whole center portion of one piece fell out of the fit of the lips, but the screws held the ends in place. A tube of black 3M super weatherstrip adhesive was my fix.
