Race track molding black insert

My race track molding is in need of new black insert, I’ve been searching for replacement with no luck. Has anyone found a suitable substitute?

thx

Lower body line Race Trac trim does not have a removable/replaceable moulding, it is painted black in the thin groove. Now if you are talking about the dent side trim, (long straight bed, door and fender) most of the time you have to get the complete assembly. The black trim is not really easily replaceable IMO. And I have never seen it for sale by itself.

I have the dent side molding with black rubber insert and would like to add racetrack molding but it is not available through LMC.

I was wondering how a vinyl decal or graphic pinstripe to simulate the racetrack molding might look? (My wife runs a Sign Shop.)

This technique could provide the needed separation between the main body color and the "infield" contrasting color.

Hope this helps. Just a suggestion, not sure if you would consider this a suitable substitute.

Good looking truck; do you have a source/brand for the chrome step shown in the second pic?

No problem, I could not find then in chrome...but at least having a possible brand gave you a direction to go look I hope.

It just seems like it would be so easy to replicate and sell. I'm surprised there isn't someone out there making these.

My molding is in great shape, I just need a suitable substitute for the black insert, preferably a thick rubber similar to the original equipment. Any ideas would be appropriate.

I can not think of a "suitable substitute for the black insert" other than the actual piece.
