It flies in my yard all day, every day. Lit up at night with a dusk to dawn LED atop the pole (not installed at the time of this photo).
Like Bananasfoster I have a beautiful Stars & Stripes short sleeve button up shirt that I wear often and get complimented on.
I've been slacking a bit lately, but I've had it out every day since Saturday... planning to fly it every day the sun shines.
I know that you think that you're cool, but that flag should be retired. It's damaged. If you REALLY want to display the flag Google how to display and care for our flag.
The flag in the truck is not about being cool, it's about being patriotic. I keep a flag up at my house all year and even getting heavy duty flags, the winds start to fray the flag in a year. So I replace my flag every year. What is cool about my flag is I had a hole drilled in a boulder in my yard and my flagpole is cemented into the boulder
.
I would like to send a thank you out to those that have served in the armed forces (or are still serving) as well as to those folks who raise and lower the flag in true honor of the people who have given everything in support of that symbol.
I don't need a flag to say that tho.
The symbol has become quite polarizing in the last 10 or so years. So much so it has lost meaning in most cases when and where it is flown.
P.S. Not even sure what relevance all this has to do with a truck forum.
My truck has a large flag decal on the tailgate. if a white F250 with the stars and stripes on the gate doesn't tell one where I stand, it's fine, I won't waste time with that individual .

I would humbly suggest that it's a one sided problem with the flag. Living in the most free country in the history of the planet and the values on which it was founded isn't something to be embarrassed about.
I love seeing the stars and stripes flying and wish more people would fly 'em!

I know that you think you're teaching me something I don't know, but you're not.
The flag was ripped recently when it snagged on something in the bed. They're out of stock until Monday 7/22, at which time I will order another and retire this one when the new one arrives.

+1 Agree completely. I am a Disabled Vietnam veteran I am proud of my country but flying a flag on a truck like that in my opinion is not appropriate. It's just a polarizing political statement. .
