3rd brake light camera in-op
Today I tried to view the camera in the 3rd brake light so I could hook up my trailer.
What are the common problems that others have found as the cause?
I suppose the first place to start maybe the 3rd brake light itself.
The camera for the rear of the truck works just fine and the image is very clear.
I have not had the rear tailgate disconnected in some time so the connections at the rear bumper have not been touched.

I have a 2021 F350 Lariat with the same issue. No success in finding the problem. However I did discover it works early in the morning while it's still fresh outside and once it warms up it no longer functions. I've checked and double checked all possible connections and nothing yet. Thinking it might be a defective module somewhere.

Not sure, but that’s the way it sounds. Local Ford service dept has had some turnover and it appears they are training people still, not very good at relaying information. I’ll let you know after it is finished up what all they did.

My bed camera was replaced under warranty. It looked like an old VHS tape for a while with the wiggly lines and then it went completely TU.

Well I think it is the camera. This morning at 68F it worked.
Now at lunchtime, temps at 86F no in bed camera.
Tailgate camera continues to work just fine.
I think the camera is the problem.

I've been to 2 different Ford dealers under warranty to fix this issue on my 2022. Neither dealer fixed the issue. Sometimes it works but most of the time it doesn't. Since the second dealer replaced my camera I think they reprogrammed something because when the camera does work I can't toggle between any other views.

I got mine replaced yesterday under warranty. It appears to be working for now. My issue was, I could not even get an image on it. I could select all my other camera views, but as soon as I tried the bed camera, it would lock up the other views and could not see any of them.
