My a/c clutch wore out I purchased a kit to replace it and the new pulley was the wrong size and I couldn’t get the clutch on the shaft, I thought they sent me the wrong one so I purchased another from local parts store correct part number and it wouldn’t fit, upon further inspection I noticed the compressor has 25 splines on the shaft & the only part that is shown for it only has 21 splines. Has anyone ran into this before. Truck is 2015 f250 with 6.2.

Reason: Wording off
If the current compressor has 25 splines then the correct replacement also has to have 25 splines, regardless of what the local parts store told or sold you.
Need actual identification of installed compressor (OEM or not, belt rib count, hub diameter) as well as the identification of the replacement part would be needed to comment further.
