Internal hard stops/center on Bendix steering box?

Internal hard stops/center on Bendix steering box?
Got my Bendix box back from Blue Top and noticed they'd marked it centered in the steering wheel spline (albeit not the pitman arm spline) - Is there actually an internal center/hard stops to the box?
I asked because although the marks are still there I spun it around a few times trying to put the rag joint coupler on it and now have lost that original orientation.
I asked my brother when he did his box and he said he just bolted it onto without any concern for orientation. I sorta thought that's how it worked but the paperwork from blue top says otherwise.
FWIW- I don't even have a steering wheel on so I already know I'm going to have to recenter it.
