Picked up the truck new on 10-20-21. It's a 2022 F-350 XL cab and chassis, 7.3, 4.30s, 4x4, 9' enclosed bed, ~12k lb gvw. Usually towing a small 12' trailer, 16' dump trailer, or 24' car hauler. Truck has been super reliable. I had the leaf springs replaced under warranty when I first got the truck because they were squeaking like crazy, new ones squeaked within a week. So I just live with that. Work truck, no biggie. Averaging 9.1 MPG over the life of the truck (logged through Fuelly).
I've replaced so far:
Tires (front twice, rear once)
Battery
Front pads and rotors
Transmission fluid/filter
Rear diff fluid
Air filter
Oil and filter change every 10k miles (when the dash tells me to)
I have spark plugs and wires already, just waiting for time to put them in. Air recirculation valve motor is on the fritz, so hoping I can figure some way to change that without having to remove the whole dash. AC still blows cold, but feels way better when the recirculation mode decides to work properly.
I plan on running it to around 250k-300k and then getting a new truck. I'll probably go with an F-450 to get a crew cab with an 11' bed next time. The better turning radius will be nice. Also, the 4.88s will be a nice upgrade. I'm so glad I went with the 4.30s on this truck, because of the weight and terrible aerodynamics of the bed though.
