Insulating & Sound Deadining

I have a complete Midfifty insulating kit - should still spray the inner cab/doors with a sound deadener ? One or the other or both ?

yes...spray then insulate...you can't have too much

I agree with John. I put lizard skin down then a brand X peel and stick. Seems pretty quiet compared to stock.

I did DynaMat base and peel and stick insulation.. Its a WORLD of difference.. They have a no name dyanmat product on amazon my buddy put in his 51.. Its practically the same stuff.

Is spray sound deadener the same as spray undercoating ?

and under coatings are similar, however different in my experience.

sound deadener is applied and remains soft, and its makeup is to absorb acoustical noise, Whereas under coatings cure hard, to seal and withstand corrosion, and weathering. (to prevent rust, etc...)

There have been many discussions on this topic...step 1, determine what outcome you desire and then select the material/application technique.
Sound comes from many sources...outside the vehicle, inside the vehicle, and vibrations inherent to the vehicle...deadeners/isolators are designed to deal with each.
