Sony Xplod Amp 2/1 Channel- 1000w Peak
Scosche 12" Sealed Box
Alpine 12" Type S Series Subwoofer
All in a 1994 Standard cab F-150.....Problem is that I cant really hear it from more than 10ft away.....Was wantin a bit more.....Something like a pair of 12" subs, 4-12" subs, OR 1-15" sub.....Any ideas? I really like Fusion Audio or AudioPipe Audio so yea....Was needing a box approx. 48"L x 24"H and around 1"Depth at the top and around 5"Depth at the bottom....All and any ideas are appreciated...
There are a lot of factors here. In a regular cab truck, your firing the subs at the back of the seats which is dissipating a lot of energy. Your amp is 1000w peak not rms, I would start with the amp upgrade. Get an amp that could support your speaker with a little headroom for future upgrades and wire it with no less than 4ga wire.
How do you have the speaker(s) set up. If you're running a pair of subs, are you in parallel, series or stereo? 2, 4 or 8 ohm?
When I finished sound deadening my last 2 trucks you couldn't hear the stereo 10 ft from them & they were hitting 140db. They were loud as hell inside the cab. One of the best ways to make your stereo sound louder is to sound deaden your truck.
I would like to have a system that does more shaking and vibrating than actual sound, but I know its a hard thing to do in a std cab truck......
It is a SINGLE Alpine Type S Series Subwoofer.....And yes I know my amplifier is only 1,000w PEAK...Please read my previous post-
Ok here is what I have-

I had 3/JL Augio W6/10s behind the seat of a reg cab truck. I did give up about 1 &1/2 inch of seat travel. It was very loud & vibrated the mirror off all the time. You couldn't see anything in my outside mirrors with the music loud. I don't care for it that loud now. I'm running 2/8s in my SD. I plan 1/8 for my Ranger. All I want subs for is to fill the bass notes in my sound. I don't want to be heard a block away.
