I've had one of the cheap billet fuel filter caps off Amazon on mine for couple years now. Uses stock style filters and works great. Never had a issue with it.

Being in Canada beats me up on U.S. vendor pricing due to exchange, shipping, taxes and duty.
Then there is the lead time for delivery. I tracked a package that took 5 days to go south before being processed at the international hub then making its way north.

I think if you ask nicely, the US gubment will annex your part of Canada.
I would recommend the Riffraff Diesel billet fuel bowl lid and get like 4 filters. Then you are guaranteed no leaks or issues and filtration you can count on.

Having worked in the Parts Dept. of four different Ford / Lincoln Mercury dealers, I have seen where some times parts person will double cost item to the customer.
Mazda parts dealers do it here for MIATA parts.
so instead of the normal 40 % mark up you are paying 100% mark up.
