I don't know if this has been talked about before I read were the 2017 f250 6.7 trans can run up to 250 degrees hot I had a time I was towing my 9000 pound trailer up a hill and my dash lit up so I pulled it over to let it cool down I've read where people say you don't need a trans cooler because it really doesn't help the temp go don't that much anyway but themn in my research I have found the opposite were they are saying it will help the temp go down I have a mishimoto trains cooler sitting in my office and I haven't decided should I install it or send it back to Amazon I keep flipping on it I'm towing 9000 through a hundred degree temp desert for a 3500 trip I need input thanks or should I just save my money and don't tow over 65

AFAIK, trans is cooled by seconary cooling system, (oil to coolant), so if it is actually overheating, it might be more wise to have secondary cooling checked for actual temps and operation before putting a bandaid (Mishimoto. ) on it!

You seem to have a resistance ro punctuation and sentence structure...
Towing uphill and the dash lit up, lit up how???
Why do you think it was the trans temp causing it?
Trans cooling is thermostatically controlled, so an aux cooler may not help much.
And, the trans is designed to run fairly hot anyway.

Right on brother correct that punctuation……hit him with the knowledge
250 transmission temp didn't light up your dash. That is well in it's acceptable limits. Truck makes no real attempt to cool it till 260's then the fan will ramp up and cool it fast. Watch this long video that shows how the truck is programmed by Ford and what temps your transmission wants:
