Most likely problem
After some intake work and a couple of starts - my truck shut down (2002, 4.6l) I can turn the engine by hand 10-20 degrees, either way, then it stops. plugs are out.
Any suggestions? When it stopped - no loud noises, no steam, no smoke.

Sounds like something broke
I would marry a stethoscope for a few days and get a good assistant
Have your assistant marry a stethoscope too, and you can switch off turning the crank and listening
Don't switch stethoscopes, each of you get your own
