My HUD display keeps slowly lowering in the windshield, takes a couple of weeks, and I've got to adjust it back up, then a couple of weeks later it's at or near the bottom, and I've got the raise it again..... any ideas?
Coming home from a 4th of July gathering last night, I decided to take the back way home, just to see if we could get though that way. Well, it was about 8 miles of very rough road, and in that distance the HUD slipped all the way down, so I'm guessing something is not tight, rather than some odd electronic grimlyn....
I have the HUD, and haven’t had an issue with it slowly slipping down during a trip. Even after a move from New Mexico to Florida and hitting every pothole on I10 in Louisiana.
The fact that you can adjust it back up after it’s gone down makes me think it’s something in the software?? If it wasn’t secured in the dash, I would think you would see the HUD display bouncing around while you drove. Have you cleaned the display to see if it’s loose?
I’ve never had the HUD display change vertical position. BUT I had it completely disappear. I was ready to schedule a service visit and then I took off my polarized sunglasses and it immediately reappeared. Oolorized sunglasses 100% make it sissapear.
I just had this happen when traveling on I-10 in Louisiana. I thought I was sinking in my seat, but realized that the HUD was sliding down. I would adjust it and then several miles later it would be down again. The roads in Louisiana are in terrible condition.
