2023 F250XLT CCSB 7.3 was an abandoned special order purchased off of the lot last summer that was equipped with most everything I wanted and a couple of things that I didn't necessarily need but have enjoyed. The one thing that I could use but don't have is a sliding rear window. I carry a slide in camper, and would like to have emergency cab access from the camper. Has anyone had this upgrade done? The installed solid rear window has the defogger. A manual sliding window would work for me. I would consider a power slider if the wiring is there and the switch could be installed neatly. I would like to retain the rear defrost any rate.
Installing a manual slider should not be a huge deal, but a power slider would be. The factory slider switch is in the overhead console, and you would also have to have the motor and wiring installed. The power for the defrost is just a small wire in the back corner behind the back panel.
Manual slider is not available for these newer trucks. I just installed a power slider in a similar f250. They chose a aftermarket brand for cost reasons of course, which I personally wouldn't use. Most power sliders will come with motor and attached cables. Original factory wiring to slider motor was already in. The console switch and a wiring connecter was needed through Ford. The sliding window isnt very big. Call a few local auto glass shops for prices. They can get Carlite or aftermarket glass but probably might not want to do the switch installation. All the power sliders will have the defrost
Thank you for the great info. I'm in agreement on the small size of the factory sliding window. My skinny wife can fit through it in case of an emergency if we hafta drive off without exiting the camper; I'm not so sure about me. I will indeed contact some local glass folks for more information.

I just checked mine. It's about 14 inches wide by 11 1/2 high. I don't care about them and would never order one but this truck came off the lot with one. It's never been opened and likely never will be, as I have a graphic covering the entire rear window.
