Will rear window out of 67-72 work in a 73-79?

No. The 67-72 rear cab window is much smaller than that used in the 73-79 trucks.

The 67-72 windshields will fit however. If you're looking for a compatible rear window keep in mind that they're the same from 73-96 . . . so if you come across a later model you can still use it.

my glass guy told me that the rear windows are the same from 67-96. you just have to get the corresponding gasket for the year. he did say something that they got a little thicker in the early 80s but they still interchange.

the size of the glass/frame are smaller. If you park the two year styles side by side, it'll be obvious. He may ahve looked at his book wrong and saw the windsheild or such, as those as stated are the same, but the difference in the rear window size is very obvious.

yes, I have an extra form a 71 with intent to go in a 79. I researched it through a local glass shop and their order number is the same.
