Sorry Second newb post...

SO I had to copy and paste this from where I originally posted it. Guess when I clicked the new members post here thing in my IM welcoming me, I may have just replied to the welcome thread. So in efforts to do things correctly, I figured I would put it up here also... Sorry about that...

Name is Ray, from N Central FL. Yes it is very hot here. Been poking around as I am planning an old Ford project, and figured in an effort to measure once and cut twice, wait, I mean cut twice and measure once, or is it don't measure, just start cutting.... Oh well, I forget. But before I start cutting, and spending money on stuff that don't work, I figured I would look for a new resource, a new group of folks that may have already done, tried, considered, or even refused to try some of the stuff I am looking to do.

Been a Ford Fan from a child. Dad would say, "If it aint got a blue oval, it ain't worth having." I strayed away from his lessons, and tend to be more of a if it has wheels, and is cook, I like it guy. Do currently have an old ford. Well actually two. One is a 1955 that I wound up with when my bonus dad had in his collection. I have another that I got when my father died. The 55 is running and driving, but the 65 I got from my father is for sure a project in the making. When I get this forum stuff figured out I will put up some pics.

I have done some light fab work, have some mechanical abilities, and have built a few different things. Not the 55, it was built when Dad got it.. But other stuff. Jeeps, Motorcycles, boats, airboats, and a car. So while I am no professional I have messed some stuff up. So now I need to get going on a Ford. Last one I started I never finished.

So the 1965 will be the next project I will attempt, and I will probably ask some dumb stuff from you guys in here in an attempt to not spend money on something twice or three times before I get it right.

Anyway, that's me. Glad to be here and will try to not ask too many dumb questions.

Thanks
Ray T.

I'd say you have good odds here at this resource.

Ask away! The ones that you might think are dumb still have a good chance of helping others.
