FORD INTERNAL DOC. INFO FYI
I found this online tonight. Supposed to be from Ford Engineers comparing Excursion to Suburban. Also some info here about internal Ford Engineer discussions on Engines and, drivablity and Interior.

Also-- My gas milage computer still says 9.7-- I tried the reset as suggested by Texcursion but didnt do anything.I still have only 440 or so miles on it--2001 Excursion limited. Any info would be appreciated.

I scanned the doc quickly and found some pretty weird comments. The diesel is underpowered? Hardly. Too loud? Try a Dodge for comparison. A new diesel coming? Sounds like they confused their facts with Chevy and its new Isuzu diesel.
I'd doubt the authenticity of the document. But who knows?

Also just remembered who Blue Oval News is. They are not Ford fans, but seem to like to attack Ford in nasty ways at times. I imagine that they have some good info but you'd have to be careful not to believe everything they post.

I just saw that article during a search-- Not sure of its accuracy. I'm still trying to find out if any Excursions are supposed to have a power antenna. Also one brochure the dealer gave me said Heated seats came standard with the 2001 limited. Did anyone get that with the Limited?

I just picked up a '01 limited. NO power antenna. Heated seats are an option. Also power adjustable pedels will be available for mid build units. Mine was built in Sept '99. So no adj. pedels.

The blue oval one says not found - then auto forwards to their main page.
The other one just comes up with a 404 - page not found.
