We all continue to pay every day for everything we buy. The only way I could afford my F350 was because my F150 was paid for and I sold it then put all that money towards the new truck. And still have a 900/month payment at 4% under invoice pricing. Dammit all. Wondering if China trade war will decimate murican consumers. Everything made in China, guess will see. Anyway yep prices for everything continue to go up n up. The wage slaves (all of us) shoulder the yoke as it were.
I always had Lariets. This 2024 is xlt. Lariets get more and more crap installed you have to take so the price has gotten crazy and the crap isn't worth it and half the time it doesn't work as good as the hype. So I got a xlt with my chosen needed options and am happy. 60K sticker for F350 7.3. Don't miss the backup sensors,360 camera, heated seats etc etc
These days even XLs come with power windows and locks, and the infotainment center is more advanced than Lincolns of a decade ago.
I guess with more and more Lexus and Mercedes buyers wanting to cosplay country, the trucks have to keep up with their expectations.

$900 a month for a truck payment!?!?! No way in heck I'd pay that for a truck.
well I guess I did because I bought a new 2022 but only when I could pay for it. I mean my last new truck was a 2005 f150 and before that was a 1999 s-10 blazer and before that was a 1993 Chevy s-10. so I don't buy new often and I never spent out of my comfort zone.
honestly I wouldn't be able to sleep at night if I had a $900 truck payment and house payment and credit cards! Omg
I have no house payment, it is paid off, I have no credit card balance, I pay it every two weeks. I don't like the big truck payment, but I can afford to pay it. I think the vast majority of truck owners who bought these trucks probably do have a big (huge?) truck payment.
These trucks are just flat out expensive. No getting around that. The dollar is worth about 2 cents. So everything we buy is expensive. Been to the grocery store lately?
High prices are everywhere, needed a new pair of sneakers went to Dicks sporting, prices for the cheap ones at $80 and most over $150 for a pair of cheap cloth sneakers. Ended up in Kohls with a pair of Sketchers, still $70.00.
If we think on it, a poor electrician like me has a better standard of living than most of the people on the planet.
How blessed are we to be born in this era in this country. My age is the sweet spot, no drafts, three boom economy’s, damn near 0% interest for 9 years (all of Obama), and the best music, cars, and motorcycles. It really is a wonderful life.
Old GenX hit the lifecycle lottery and the ones that think show gratitude.
I have it better than I deserve is a blessed place to be.

If you look at how strong the USD is against almost every currency and then compare median wages in other countries its ridiculous how wealthy the U.S. is and even our full time minimum wage workers are amongst the wealthiest people on earth. Of course our dollar keeps losing value but seeing as we subsidize most other economies it balances out for now... Until another world power grabs the energy currency spot and sends us right into the 3rd world being on the hook for printing valueless dollars since the 70s.
