Running too cool?
Swapped out my tired fan clutch this morning. Truck seems to “roar” more than it should. Im probably needing to change my coolant temp sensor as well as a new thermostat. Im definitely getting the Motorcraft OEM thermostat. Is it a good idea to also stick with an OEM coolant temp sensor? I know these trucks are fussy with “cheap” parts. Ill go the MC route unless someone csn tell me an aftermarket one is just as good. Truck is running in the 160* range and its HOT as hell here in AZ. Around 107* today. Ive ran the truck for 40 minutes and my engine temp (used a laser heat BBQ gun) is around 155-160*. Checked the upper radiator hose. Tight as a drum and around 158*. Waterpump is around 160*. Thanks.
