I have a problem with my fuse box in the engine compartment. For the ABS Relay the middle pin in t he fuse box is missing, i think it somehow broke off on the inside? in the attached image i have stuck a probe in the described hole. From what i understand it should have 12V there, but the meter reads nothing and it looks like there is no connector in the hole.
My question is: Is it possible to take the Fuse box apart and see whats going on under there? it looks like the red/white plastic parts can come off, but i'm sure ill break something if i just start prying and pulling.
The center pin on Bosch-style relays is the Normally Closed contact, labeled 87a. Depending on the configuration of the ABS system you may not need this contact and this could be the reason there is not a socket in the fuse box.
ok, thank you i managed to figure out the problem: the relay did't get ground from the fusebox, so i made a temporary solution with an extra wire - for now that fixed the problem of no power to the abs
on another note though, i was wondering if it's possible to open the fuse box and see what's under the relays and fuses? it looks like it should be possible - right?
I don't know the details for a '94 but my '97 snaps together. You should be able to separate the top half and see where all the wires insert from the back.
