Hello all! So trying to fix my pyro has lead to pulling my fuse box because i couldnt get power at the customer access point. Now i find that per the owners manual diagram i am missing the fuse and pins for the 4 wheel abs and the fuse box itself has a 3/9/2000 manufacture date, the truck is 9/99... Forscan always brought up a code in the GEM i think for a bad ABS motor...
Am I dealing with the wrong fuse box for the truck?
if it helps: YC3T-14A067-DC is the part number on the fuse box
Got the fuse box back in, customer access fuse power point IS working...
Can anyone have a looksie at their interior fuse panel and tell me if they have a fuse in the 3rd row to the right 4 down, 10amp
Preferably a 2000 model year with 4 wheel abs...
I'll check and see if I can find anyway to check for power going to ABS
Going to pull the fuse box out again. Having lots of problems now. High beam multifuntion switch is being tempermental, turnsignals, 4 ways (electronic flasher relay seems to be the culprit) brake lights (3rd BL works) speedo, blower motor, intermittent airbag light... oh and apparently fuel pump isnt putting out enough, truck died yesterday and had to get towed. Fuel pump is louder than normal, engine will run (badly) if you let the fuel pump run a bit before cranking, but dies within 20 seconds. (Just put 6 gallons in the tank 10 minutes before it died)
O and cant establish a connection to the PCM through the OBDII port.
Interesting. So do i need to buy a new owners guide set from Ford now? I did pull the owners guide set with diesel supplement from an identical truck i had known for a long time, just a '99 vs my '00
Update, i just looked on Ford's website and looked at different owners manuals 99-01 and the 1999 model year does use that fuse location, 2000+ put the abs on fuse 24.
So I will be getting a manual for the 2k model year when i can, and NOT reference the 99 book for fuses!
I wonder if this another early 99 vs late 99 difference...
Update, pulled fuse box checked everything over and repaired a couple pins due to some over zealous probing with a test light/multimeter (oppsss)
Between referencing the wrong owners manual, not getting things tight enough on the backside of the fuse block, and a random left over 25amp fuse that had no home, or location even calling for a 25 amp fuse, things are working again as far as i can tell.
My bluetooth dongle kicked the bucket as well now so i'm still into it for a fuel pump, a new dongle, and a test drive before i can say its "fixed."
