So I've been having issues with my 90 ford bronco II 2.9l. I got new sensors cause my eec threw codes for the voltages. I got to calibrate the tps, and find that my ground wire, black with white stripe is the acting as the signal wire. Same with the ACT and the ECT. I have no idea where to begin even looking. Also wondering g if this particular issue can be caused by a short within the EEC iv. If anyone could please give me some direction to look toward. I greatly appreciate it.
Easy Peasy simple.
Your erratic voltages are due to back feed in the wires.
Everyone is looking for a ground to go home to the battery.
Locate all your ground wires, take them off, shine them up with a wire brush, coat connectors, mounting surface and bolt with grease, I like Chassis grease, it does not wash out.
Reassemble and the gremlins will all run to home
Hope you have a harder one next time.
