Also if you look to the left there is 3 soft cables connected upper left with wire crimps where does that go and do i actually need to connect it?
That is a manifold vacuum distribution block. Yes you need that. One line should go to the intake manifold to get vacuum from the engine. Vacuum goes up to the firewall and that block sends the vacuum down one of those lines to the HVAC system through the firewall on the pass side. If you do not have vacuum on this line, your heater and A/C controls will not work in the dash. The other line usually goes down to the transmission if you have a automatic 3 speed, and it tells the transmission when to shift. You definitely need that also once you get out on the road.
ok from left port 1 2 3 which one goes to the transmission. My hvac system i dont ever use. For years now they have not been connected.
I found the vacuum line that goes to the transmission yes its plugged into the manifold. Its behind the back of the engine cover in the middle.
It should not make a difference what port / nipple the hose is to as they all should get the same vacuum.
As long as 1 hose is to the intake for supply and the others go to what needs vacuum.
