2005 6.0 pcm issue

I am working on my son’s truck and was told that the guy he got it from had a one in it from a 03 and that’s why things where not working right . So I order one already flashed to his vin and when it came in it was different . The one that came in had 3 spots for plugs but one of the plug in spots had no pins in it . The one that was in the truck has pins in all 3 spots . Here are some pictures any idea what is going on .

Hopefully this link works. I am not positive, but one of the plugs is for the auto transmission. Did you get a pcm for a manual trans truck?

You need (with auto transmission) all 3 with "pins". That one won't work.

The one you should get for an '05 is 6U7Z-12A650-FGCRM, but it will probably be hard to find.

Have you contacted FlagShip One?

EDIT - deleted the part from FordPartsGiant. The PCM was shown to be unavailable.

EDIT AGAIN ............... FS1 shows what you ordered is clearly for a Manual Transmission:

SKU: 10662
Condition: Refurbished
Year: 2005
Make: Ford
Model: F-Series Truck
Additional Model Info: F250; F350; F-250;F-350
Engine Size: 6.0L
Engine Type: Diesel
Transmission: Manual
Module Type: FD-F36M (PCM-122)
Part Number: 5C3A-12A650-BUE
Other Part Number: 5C3Z-12A650-BUE
Hardware Code: DPU-431, DPU-431T, DPU-441 & DPU-441T
Catch Code: UAV4
Hollander Interchange: 590-07772

Send it back. It was a mistake made on their part. Call them and explain that you need all three connectors functional.

EDIT - one for the '06 should work for your '05:

05-07 PCMs are interchange, it's just a matter of what's on the PCM matching the truck configuration and FICM.

During the reflash process, the VIN is required on the 2003 and 2004 trucks it doesn't ask for the vin. Instead it has to be put in as part of As-built data.

That's for a 2003-2004 truck. Doesn't matter if they flash it with a 2005-2007 pcm flash it won't work.

Seems like you may have a VIN mismatch w/ the engine (or Flagship 1 is mistaken/wrong). That happens when engines are swapped out, You may need to get the engine serial number, but it is difficult at best! The engine serial number is located on the left rear corner of the crankcase.

If you need a 2005 pcm for an automatic transmission, you need a pcm with one of these catchwords:

-YCR4
-ZZR7
-ZXZ4
-CYH0
-ZHB0
