Door Panel disassembly
Disassembling door panels for a 2003 f250. They were Tan King Ranch panels with wood grain. I am attempting to disassemble and paint Med. Flint. I have everything removed except for the wood grain. Does anyone have any experience in this area. It seems the plastic tabs that hold it onto the door are melted to hold it in place. I will be changing them out to the “carbon fiber” ones I have in the truck already. Pics below.

If your changing them your best friend will be a carbide bit on a die grinder. Go a little at a time and move around like spot welding a panel to keep heat from melting the plastic. That is how I would do it.

Thought about a Dremel tool with a small cutting disc on it. Just slowly use it to cut the "melted" parts where the rest will slide out.
Heat gun sounds like an idea if I can arrange a tip to just apply heat to the plastic **** that are melted and not the door as well.

Maybe a soldering iron would have better precision.
