Maybe some of it is terminology being used? I can't quite figure this one out, but maybe this means something different than what it says:

Maybe you meant under the valve cover? Or maybe under the oil rail? No way a glow plug could have been left under the head. :Pictures can help (with arrows showing what you are referring to) if you are unsure of the terminology.
Sorry for not replying sooner I had gotten busy doing other things I did get it in running order again and all was good. Until my hpop gave out in Denver. But yes that glow plug was under the head sitting next to the push rods. Wierd thing though is that all glow plugs are installed none were missing so idk how that guy before me was a diesel mechanic with so many issues he has caused to this truck. I may be. A beginner into the diesel truck world but that's why I have come here to ask for help with my vehicle. At the end of the day I can get the job done with the help 9f those who reply on my threads and for that I am grateful. So with that being said here is a question: should I go with a motorcraft hpop for replacement or would it be good to go with an aftermarket reman. (Will be selling truck once it's running again)
The only place under the head would be in the cylinders. Pushrods, oil rails, and injectors are seen in the rocker box, which is under the valve cover.
