How could you not have installed the app?
I've never seen a stock phone come with the FordPass app pre loaded.
As far as updates... that's part of your phone settings, not Ford's fault.
If you have your apps set to auto update and don't like that, you need to change your settings.
I'm on Android and in the Play Store, it shows an app update is available but I have my app, auto updates turned off and choose when I want to update.
It may get to a point where the old app won't load and one would have no choice but to update but that's different than auto updating.

Not sure how true it is since I don't use an Iphone, but I have read that they automatically update apps and don't give any option not to.

Longtime iPhone user but I have yet to find any setting in phone settings, App Store or the app itself to prevent auto updates.
My FordPass app remained on the previous version until I updated the iOS the other day. When that happened FordPass also updated.

iPhone 14, iOS 17.5.1 here and under settings, App Store, there is a toggle on/off auto app updates. YMMV.
It seems like nothing on the new fordpass app is as good as the old one, is there a way to go back? It just seems to be a mess every time I open it....

Mine was set to not auto install apps purchased on other devices but is set to auto install new app updates.
With this app update Ford has given me all the motivation I needed to delete the app from my phone and have my account deleted. Seeing it was now integrated in with Google Maps and you must accept Google Maps terms of service, I'm out.
I can see mine as well. I just have no option to add a new owner entry. On the old versions I had the ability to take a picture of my receipt and have it attached to the entry. I am using an IPhone. I wonder if it’s a glitch and will be fixed. Might try re downloading the app sometime this week when I am closer to better service and see if that is the issue. I picked up oil and filter today and will be doing oil change this week just waiting on plug wires hopefully be in this week as well. Local shop didn’t have any in. Maybe by then this will all be remedied.
I can see my old records too, receipts and notes, but I don't see where I can make a new entry. I too hope they get this fixed - soon. Hopefully the team at Ford is reading this thread; I know they're on here...
